Position
Summary:



  • Test chemical production batches in accordance with ACS, USP and other outlined company procedures, and make the necessary chemical adjustments to ensure the chemical batch meets product specifications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Test production samples using required analytical chemistry techniques this will include preparing, standardizing and calibrating reagent standards required for testing.

  • Familiarity with the following instrument systems used in batch testing protocols: GC, UV/VIS, FTIR, LC, Karl Fischer, PH meter and AA spectrometer.

  • Understanding of potential chemical reactions between raw materials in terms of solid salts, aqueous and organic solvents that are used in the production batch.

  • Conduct testing on in-process batch samples, and recommend batch adjustments when chemical product is OOS.

  • Segregate, label and dispose of waste chemicals in accordance with company, local, state and federal regulations.

  • Maintain productivity and analytical data to meet required standards.

  • Perform elementary method analysis and development for troubleshooting purposes.

  • Make recommendations to technical support on analytical methods.

  • Repair, maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments to ensure the accuracy, precision and reproducibility of the instruments up today.

  • Support continuous improvement activities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements/
Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry, or Analytical chemistry skills with Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering.

  • 5
    years of Analytical chemistry laboratory experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Proven problem-solving skills
